Executive Inn Ridgeway I-77

The lobby was disgusting, and shingles were missing from the roof when my family arrived. They didn’t even get as far as seeing a room before asking for their money back. I’d made the reservation on the hotel’s website a few weeks earlier, but we were told the booking was through Expedia. It seems the site sent us to Hotel Ones through Expedia, and Hotel Ones says they won’t refund it. Really? Expedia and Hotel Ones should expect to represent a hotel that’s being cared for, and investigate complaints like this. We booked through the hotel site, yet got passed around when we asked for help. Stay in your car. Never stay here.

We were in Ridgeway, SC, for three days selling at The Big Grab, and this was the only place in town, so we had to put up with it. There were three huge roaches, and the supposedly smoke-free room had cigarette burns on almost every surface. It was also meant to be handicapped accessible, but wasn’t. The fridge and freezer had brown liquid in them, the toilet paper holder was rusty, and the table was so sticky that a damp cloth came away dark brown. The decor was stained and badly dated. It was gross, and feels very unhealthy. This motel should be shut down. Half a star.

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable, but there was no hot water. Starting the day with a cold shower isn’t for me.

My wife booked a king room for me at $66 including tax. When I called to pay, they couldn’t find the reservation and quoted $90 plus tax to make a new one. I’m going somewhere else tonight, and you should too.
