The staff were very nice, and breakfast was pretty good, as usual. Finding the hotel off the turnpike at night was tough and a bit roundabout since I'm not from the area. There'd been a power outage before I arrived, so some rooms had no power, but they moved me to one that did. The water wasn't very hot either. I assume the outage kept them from keeping the water heated while the hotel was using it. I was only there to sleep, so it wasn't a big deal. I'd stay again if I were passing through.

The beds were clean and comfortable, and the room was very clean overall. Breakfast had lots of options and was delicious. I arrived shortly before it ended, but it was still fully stocked. Holiday Inn breakfasts are my favorite. Front desk and breakfast staff gave great service too. The building could use work, though: dingy hallways, a not very clean TV remote, and an elevator that felt sketchy.

The bed was hard as a rock, and my hips hurt after spending the night flipping from side to side. The mattress protector had all sorts of mysterious stains, and other guests were slamming doors, yelling and running through the halls from before 6 a.m. The bathroom was too small to shut the door while sitting on the toilet. The room was only clean-ish: random trash between the TV stand and desk, streaky windows, toilet paper stuffed in the peephole, and stains on the bathroom floor behind the toilet. The location was great and breakfast was good, but arriving was a pain because it was hidden behind another hotel with no signs and the parking lot was torn up. The desk staff weren't welcoming when we asked about checking in early. I understand the room might not have been ready, but there was no need to be rude. It was the worst sleep I've ever had in a hotel.

The staff were very polite, one of the few upsides. The internet didn't work for all three days I was there. I was told the GM knew about it, but it still wasn't fixed during my stay. The room wasn't disgusting, but it wasn't spotless either, and I've been in cleaner, more up-to-date hotels. The building is badly in need of renovation.

We checked in around 4 p.m., left our luggage in the room, then went to meet friends for dinner and a comedy show. When we got back around 2 a.m., we found the toilet wasn't working. One flush made it overflow and cover the bathroom floor. One of us has an ostomy and had to empty the bag several times overnight, so a working toilet was essential. We contacted management, Tracy, many times, but got no reply to our calls, texts, or emails. That was a horrific inconvenience, and we feel we deserve some reimbursement. We'll never stay there again. If you're considering it, do yourself a favor and don't. Yw!
