Delta Hotels by Marriott Woodbridge

Melody and Joel at the bar are the reason my colleagues and I keep coming back. They make us feel at home, and they were especially attentive about my dietary restrictions. The breakfast team is generally kind and friendly, though Jessica sometimes seemed distracted. Once, she told my colleague it was cash only after taking card payments from the rest of us. The location works well for us, with restaurants and shopping centers nearby. I’ve visited New Jersey from out of state several times and keep choosing the Delta Hotel. Check-in is welcoming and efficient, especially with Evelyn and Camilla. The rooms are usually clean, although they could use some remodeling.

We were really unhappy with the service. Our room had no refrigerator, and when I called, they said it should have had one. We could manage without it, but our daughter has allergies and needed her medication and backup options kept at a certain temperature. They first said they’d see about moving us, then told us no other room was available. The bathroom body wash was empty. I was already in the shower, so I had to use shampoo instead. We reported it and were told someone would handle it right away, but the next morning it still hadn’t been fixed. They finally brought body wash when we were packed and ready to check out. The faucet also didn’t work properly. I don’t know if the hotel was understaffed or if the employees weren’t trained well, but this was the worst customer service. We’d stayed at marriot in DC the week before and had excellent service. Mistakes happen, but staff should address them promptly when guests point them out.

Breakfast at the in-house restaurant was a miserable experience. The woman behind the bar and service counter wouldn’t acknowledge us or another customer. When we asked what was available, she tossed the menu onto the counter and walked away. It felt humiliating, with no courtesy at all. Very sad. One of our rooms was disappointing too. It seemed unused for a long time, was dusty, had hair in the bathroom, and the water wouldn’t drain properly. We’ve always had good experiences with Marriott people, but here????????

Naomi really made our stay memorable. She was warm, friendly, and gave us such great service. I was in town with friends for two days and had a great time here. The hotel is lovely, and the restaurant’s food and drinks were delicious. The staff were wonderful all around, and I’d recommend staying here.
