Treasure Harbor Hideaway

We stayed on a houseboat at Treasure Harbor Resort & Marina, and seeing manatees right in front of the boat was the highlight of our trip. Waking up to them swimming so close felt magical. The peaceful, authentic 'Old Keys' atmosphere made this a special place to stay. If you want a unique stay close to nature, I highly recommend it. A total gem in Islamorada!

Hannah was exceptionally welcoming and made our stay feel perfect. We were five grown men sharing one house for a night while cycling from Miami to Key West, and there was room for everyone. The beds were comfy too. We even spotted a manatee by the boat. So cool! I'd definitely stay again if I'm in the area.

Our houseboat, "Loggerhead," was perfectly clean and had everything we needed, making it a great Airbnb alternative to a regular hotel room. Check-in was tricky because we arrived later in the evening and hadn't been told which boathouse was ours. There's someone in the office from 3 pm -5 pm for check-in. Once we figured out where to go, we got settled comfortably.

Roaches and other bugs were everywhere. I didn't notice at first, but after we got back from a boat ride, I found more than 15 cockroaches scurrying around in the light as we were trying to go to sleep. I thought maybe it was limited to that area, then one crawled across my 3-year-old's head. We drove an hour north to Florida City just to get some sleep. Unless you're okay sharing the whole dock, including inside your houseboat, with roaches, I'd avoid this place.
