Sawtelle Mountain Resort

The walls in our room were a bit thin, so we could hear a lot of what the neighbors were doing. Still, the rooms were clean, the rates were good, and the staff were helpful and friendly. We'll definitely stay again on our next Island Park trip.

We came for our anniversary and booked the Moose Suite for two nights, but loved it so much we added a third. The indoor pool, kids' game room, and workout facility were great. It's only 25 minutes from Weat Yellowstone, and the front desk staff were helpful and informative. Lina helped us a lot. Thanks for the lovely stay, we'll be back!

The place has been upgraded and our room was nice, but the stay was disappointing. We called ahead and were told the office would close at 3:00, with our things left to the left of the stairs. There was just a random envelope with our keys. The amenities description was misleading, since private hot tubs aren't in every room. The public pool was too cold, while the spa was too hot, and there was no way to turn on the jets or get towels to dry off. We were excited about the “great workout facility,” but found four pieces of equipment and a treadmill that didn't work. In the game room, the pinball machines and Duck Hunt were broken and wouldn't load. Continental breakfast was nonexistent unless we wanted a frozen sandwich to microwave or leftover biscuits and gravy. Power kept tripping in the bedroom and eventually blew a fuse. The place has a lot of potential if the maintenance and service improve.

The room was peaceful, clean, and well cared for, and we were very happy with our choice for those 5 days this week. I’d recommend staying here in Island Park.
