Holiday Inn Seattle-Issaquah

The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and our room was clean, neat, and reasonable. Breakfast was a different experience. The food was at least good, but the service was terrible. We waited 40 minutes and never got water or a check-in from our server, so I had to get my own coffee refill. Luckily, we weren't in a hurry to get on the road for our next adventure.

The rooms were really nice and clean, and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. I'd recommend this hotel. The only bad part was check-in. A trainee was flustered while entering my debit card details and put the expiration date in incorrectly, so the card was declined. She slammed it on the counter, announced loudly that it had been declined, and told me I needed another card. She wouldn't try it again, so she got the manager, who sorted it out and apologized. Things were great after that, but it was embarrassing until the manager stepped in.

We had a lovely stay. The room was clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I lost my ID and had no idea where it could be, but the next morning it was under the door in an envelope. That was a miracle in itself. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is the lack of privacy from the curtains. They're sheer, don't close all the way, and only sort of block the window. I'm sure the car parked in front of our room saw us in our birthday suits. They could really use curtains that cover the whole window.

My room was spotless, the staff were helpful, and the restaurant serves great food. You do have to go elsewhere for lunch, but there are several restaurants nearby. It's easy to get to Seattle, and I had a great experience. The hotel could use some updating and a bit of shining up, especially with several brand-new hotels close by. The staff were wonderful.
