Motel 6 Issaquah, WA - Seattle - East

This Motel 6 is one of the top three on the west coast, based on all the places I’ve stayed up and down the coast. The property is so well run and everyone works as a team that I almost wanted to work there. The location worked well for my business trip, with groceries, gas, and good food nearby. The room was clean and the price was right. Sleep was uncomfortable because the mattress shifted around on the frame, and bright lights outside the window came through the curtains. The shower pressure was very low, and room service never came by. I also missed having a mini fridge, microwave, or coffee pot in the room. The old-looking wall heating and cooling unit seemed kind of dangerous.

It's Motel 6, so what can I say. They leave the heat running at 85, and when it's broken you can't change the setting. Whoever decided about the room coffee should have to drink that hell water. Be careful pressing the shampoo canister or you'll get blinded and miss checkout. I asked for a quiet room and ended up in the middle of a family with six kids, plus a man in a wheelchair who kept banging into the wall and scraping paint with his wheels. My car was left in the darkest spot, farthest from my room, while everyone else parked under the lights. You'd better learn Spanish so you don't get charged extra for not understanding. Bring earplugs too, because no matter what they say, you'll get a room by the freeway. It doesn't sound like the ocean for long. And yes, you have to leave a deposit in case you damage anything, unlike the thousands before me who apparently took such good care of the room.

The last visit, on Jan 30, brought police activity outside our room over a domestic dispute. We were then forced to move because the room had failed a state inspection. After another move, we got a full-size bed even though we had paid for a queen. Management said it was a queen and brushed off what we told them. Housekeeping is also so loud all day that night workers can't sleep. We’d stayed here several times for work. On the first visit, Nov 1, 2025, water was actively seeping through the floor. Staff didn't believe us and suggested putting towels down instead of moving us. Gina was the only employee who handled it professionally, and she moved us the next day. These experiences point to poor management, no accountability, and little regard for guest safety. The rooms were misrepresented, and management was dismissive. We won't come back.
