Countryside Inn and Suites

We needed a convenient spot for work, and the service was good. The room was comfortable, clean, and stocked with plenty of anything we might need, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was wonderful too. We enjoyed staying here and are even planning to ask about an extended stay. With the weather being so challenging, we're happy to have somewhere to go.

We arrived late on a Saturday in December with the kids tired, so I decided to stay despite everything. The parking lot was a mess, with deep icy ruts, no plowing or salt, and no visible sidewalk, so we had to walk on the icy drive. At 6 pm, after calling for service, I asked the man at the desk for a room on the main floor near the pool. He told me the pool hadn't worked for months. The hot tub wasn't working either. I said I'd specifically asked about both when making the reservation. He claimed I must have booked online and hadn't spoken with him, though I'd asked the man I spoke to whether he worked at the hotel, and he said yes. I had confirmed the pool, that it was heated, and that the hot tub worked. He then said he'd upgraded my room, which he hadn't, and would include breakfast, though I'd never been asked if I wanted it included. The online listing and hotel website clearly show a pool, breakfast, and other amenities we wouldn't be getting. The hallway smelled strongly of pot, and the kids noticed too. In the room, the dresser drawers wouldn't stay shut and kept sliding open. We decided to leave. The manager came to the desk barefoot, which was disgusting. Of course, there was no refund. The lot, room, service, and other clientele made us want to get out as quickly as possible, sliding across the parking lot. Take warning, don't book a room here online or at the hotel. Sorry, not sorry.

My 2-year-old daughter found a used syringe on a shelf under the sink while playing in the bathroom at Countryside Inn and Suites. It was a disturbing experience. When I reported it, staff didn't respond adequately, and the front desk employee handled it improperly by tossing it in the regular trash, creating another hazard. Given the owner's history, their lack of concern for safety and proper procedures doesn't surprise me. I hope this prompts changes. Families should be aware of the potential risks.

There was a musty smell, and the place wasn't very clean. My friend was charged three times for her room and can't get help or compensation. The BBB needs to deal with them. Google Maps has it labeled incorrectly, and there was no pool despite the ad. The workout room looked like a construction zone. Any five-star reviews here must be fake, this place gets zero stars from me. They charged $191, though it feels more like a $50 place. It's not Country Inn and it's not Hampton Inn, and the photos are completely inaccurate.
