The staff were courteous and willing to help, but the property itself badly needs attention. The lobby and shared spaces need a remodel. Recent work seems to have been done, though the quality is substandard. The lobby restroom door looks as if it hasn’t been cleaned in months, the check-in counter is cluttered with fans and other things sitting around and on the floor, and the TV in my room was mounted with its left side about six inches lower than the right. Another lobby TV is mounted the same way. The Market Bistro and bar are permanently closed, with all the equipment removed, a management decision confirmed by the front desk. That leaves guests without breakfast. Courtyard’s usual option of 500 points or a food and beverage credit isn’t offered here, and you can’t charge items from the front desk market to your room. This place feels closer to a Super 8 or Quality Inn than a Marriott.

Our room had recently been updated and looked lovely, and there was maintenance and renovation work going on around the motel. I liked the coffee setup too, especially that the condiment packet was paper instead of plastic. The room had a small fridge, but the microwave was down the hall by the ice machine. The pool was beautiful and clear, and the lobby had a nice choice between private seating with partitions and an open area. It was a clean, quiet, comfortable stay, and the staff were consistently friendly and smiling.

The lobby was nice, but the room was just okay and didn’t feel appealing. It really needs renovating, and this didn’t feel like a Marriott. My sheets had a spot, and the linen was so itchy that housekeeping should change the detergent they use.

At 1:00 AM, a receptionist had to knock on our room door to make sure nobody was inside before we could enter. That came after I’d already opened an assigned room and found someone staying in it. When I went back downstairs, the receptionist only said, “I’m sorry!” Another guest from the same floor was also there, saying their room smelled like pee and they’d asked to move. Then, just 30 minutes after I finally got into bed, someone opened my room door and was shocked to find me there. My check-in had already been delayed by 30 minutes because the room I booked through Bonvoy appeared in my account but not in the property’s system. I can’t describe how horrible this place is. I’m shocked Marriott operates it, and it’s a shame. As a loyal customer, I’ve lost some faith in Marriott. They should drop this property.
