Hampton Inn Jackson Hole

The convenient part is the location near Target and Albertsons, plus there’s some nice seating and fire pits out front. But that space is also the main smoking area, so it’s nearly impossible to enjoy if you’re sensitive to smoke. The building and lot are poorly lit too, making the entrance easy to miss at night and the parking lot uncomfortable after dark. The rooms were clean when we arrived, the beds were decent, and the walls were so thin we could hear toilets flushing, showers running, and water moving through pipes. Doors closing anywhere in the hallway rattled our own door. The rooms are small, get stuffy quickly, and have low quality furniture for the price. Breakfast is included, but disappointing for what you pay. There are few options beyond hot food, which is often burnt, and the attendant can’t seem to keep up. Staff were a mixed bag. Some were wonderful, while others acted as if basic questions were a nuisance. We asked for an extra blanket and were simply told no, without an explanation. Most didn’t acknowledge us and kept looking at their phones. The property feels run down, and nearly every night someone vacuumed the hall around 7:30 pm while scrolling on their phone, with no regard for guests trying to relax. It just doesn’t feel well managed. It’s not the absolute worst hotel, but it doesn’t earn its price. There are better options in Jackson at the same rate or less, so I wouldn’t recommend it unless it’s your last resort. Hopefully they get better management and put things back together.

The room was nice and clean while I was in town for work. We could’ve used a few more towels, and the TV kept freezing, maybe because of the storm. The only movie or show that played was The Princess Bride, which was a great throwback.

Jeneé made this the best stay ever. The hotel was beautiful and clean, great value, and very dog friendly. It’s also in a great spot, close to everything in Jackson, the grand Tetons, and the elk refuge.

The rooms are cozy, and downtown isn’t far away. Albertsons and Target are right next door, with lots of places to eat within walking distance.
