The Wentworth

Dinner at the 1869 Room was a highlight, with an incredible four-course meal from beginning to end. The Tavern also had excellent food, and its jazz night was amazing. A local bakery, The Autumn Nomad, delivered the birthday cake I’d ordered as a surprise for my now-fiancée, right to our table after dinner. It was thoughtful and seamless, beyond what I expected. I chose The Wentworth Inn for a romantic getaway, to propose to my now-fiancée, and to celebrate her birthday. The cozy, intimate atmosphere made it feel just right. Our room had a hot tub with perfectly hot water, and even though I’d never used one before, a quick Google search was enough to figure it out. The fireplace made the room feel even warmer and more romantic. Light snow and a couples massage gave us the relaxed, connected time I’d hoped for. I’d highly recommend The Wentworth Inn for a special occasion, or a few milestones together. It was a lovely setting for memories we’ll cherish.

We spent a few days here for our anniversary and ski trip, and it was a great choice. The suites are private, and the hot tub cottage suites would work well for couples or groups. The atmosphere throughout is lovely. It’s central to several alpine spots, and Jackson XC is literally next door if downhill skiing isn’t your thing. We ate dinner and breakfast on site all three nights and mornings. The staff were wonderful at both the front desk and the dining spots, and the service was great. We had one concern during dinner one evening, but the manager sorted it out promptly and turned the night around. If Carol is serving breakfast, you’re off to a great start. The cookies were a fantastic touch. Our first stay was wonderful, and it definitely won’t be our last.

We’d love to come back. The inn is charming, with a fabulous atmosphere, and both dinner and breakfast were excellent. It’s also ideally placed for fall foliage, with easy access to New Hampshire’s White Mountains and the Kancamagus Highway. The room was lovely and comfortable, though we were a little disappointed that it didn’t have the large bathtub shown in the photos. One small thing: dinner took about two hours each night, which felt a bit long for us. Still, we had a wonderful stay.

We stayed in the Wentworth Inn cottages and had a wonderful time. The renovated inn is stylish and comfortable, and its location makes it easy to walk to everything, including the Jackson XC touring center. Carol, Leon, and John were outstanding servers, friendly and attentive. Highly recommend, and we’ll be back.
