Town House Inn

For just under $80 on a Thursday, it was somewhere to sleep, and I still got about six hours of sleep despite hearing people come and go. The room was dirty and smelled bad, with an unswept floor and a spot beside the refrigerator that looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. The nightstand was sticky from something a previous guest spilled. When we checked in, someone was sitting in the doorway next to us smoking. Parking was in the middle of a lot, with nowhere to pull up and unload.

The kitchenette was surprisingly good, with a full refrigerator, microwave, stove, and sink. Our rooms were clean, the sheets were clean, and the fridge had been wiped down. The mattresses were firm but comfortable. We could have used a couple more blankets, though we didn't ask, so maybe they could have provided them. One room was missing a bed. I saw a lot of new bed boxes ready to be assembled, so perhaps they were making upgrades, and it worked out for us. We stayed with family for the eclipse after booking early at a good rate compared with the fancier hotels nearby. It's a motel, and the rooms are no-frills, seemingly set up for weekly renters. The staff were really friendly. The young woman who checked us in stayed cheerful and helpful while lots of people were arriving and she was very busy. She deserves credit for her customer service. When I came back to get something, she and the manager were all smiles. I didn't find the staff rude at all, despite other comments. We were completely satisfied with our stay.

I stayed a few days and was impressed by how clean the place was. It was well kept and mostly quiet, and for the price it's hard to pass up.

It's totally Kool, and the room service is amazing!
