Booking was simple, the price was competitive, and the service earned the four stars for me. The text and email alerts came frequently, but I’d rather get more updates than fewer. They kept me informed about the steps and status of my stay. The stay itself was okay, and I wouldn’t recommend it to friends or family unless a few things improve. The breakfast is bare bones, which is fine, but the first carton of milk I picked up was frozen solid. The next tasted sour, with the liquid and fat separated into white lumps in my cereal. Quality control and handling need attention. The pet area looks like a filled-in pool, just a concrete slab. Artificial grass would be better for pets and owners. Picking up dog waste from concrete is unpleasant and unsanitary; residue could get on shoes and be tracked into the lobby, rooms, shared areas, or cars. Rain or washing could also carry it into the surrounding landscape. There’s a lot of litter and trash in the south corner of the property, which feels like a health and safety problem and makes the place look unmaintained and lawless.

The service, clean rooms, decent breakfast, and convenient location were all positives. Staff were polite, friendly, and diverse. On the downside, there’s no washer or dryer, and my room had neither a microwave nor a refrigerator. The fire alarm also went off on both nights, sometime between 8 and 9 p.m. Since the hotel is just off the highway next to a gas station, getting in and out takes a little time.

Breakfast was good, but the room setup wasn’t very convenient. The halls are narrow and the rooms are so dark there isn’t enough light to shave, let alone do makeup. Soap is fixed to the wall, so you have to stand up during a bath to use it, while the shower head doesn’t move, meaning you can’t rinse off without sitting back down in the tub. There’s a small cookstove but no pans or utensils, not even a fork.

The hotel was clean and had a pleasant, non-chemical smell. There was a problem with my reservation. They were training new staff, and I think she’ll do a great job.
