Fairfield Inn & Suites Jacksonville Beach

The location is excellent, and I appreciated being allowed to check in early in the end. Getting that sorted took more effort than expected: I called and waited several minutes without an answer, and the app had no early check-in or late check-out option. When I reached the front desk, I was told right away that they were completely full, which felt dismissive instead of helpful. For nearly $300, the basic room didn’t feel worth the price or show much attention to detail. There were rough stains in the tub, and the bathroom only had standard soap and lotion. The location is a strong point, but the service and value need work. I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

The beach, local shops, and restaurants were all just steps away, which made the location so convenient. Our rooms were modern, clean, and very comfortable, and everyone on staff was friendly and ready to help. We had a great time and will be back. Definitely recommend!

Everything went smoothly booking through booking.com and using affirm. Staff were courteous and friendly at all hours. The hotel is minutes from everything and just steps from the ocean, in a quiet, safe area. Next time I’d rather book through Marriot to get the rewards.

I drove 14 hours to get here and was very upset by the experience. Room 133, near the side/back door, was extremely loud with people constantly coming and going, mostly housekeeping staff stepping out to smoke. Cigarette smoke kept drifting into the room because an older Hispanic housekeeper was repeatedly smoking near it. At breakfast, an older white woman with short curly hair abrasively yelled at me for filling the plastic waffle cup to its marked line, saying, “you’re using too much!” I pointed out the fill lines, and the waffle came out perfectly without spilling, but I was humiliated in front of everyone. Breakfast was nearly nonexistent, with only waffles, coffee, and eggs. I called the front desk at 9:30 to raise my concerns with the manager, but was told he wasn’t in yet. I asked for a call when he arrived and waited until 10:15, then called again. The front desk woman said he still wasn’t there, so I decided to check out. I was charged $550 on my card, though the total was supposed to be $508.49 for two nights with parking at $12 a night. I stayed only one night, 4/2, and checked out at 10:20 a.m. on 4/3. The printed receipt appears to show a charge for Friday night, which I didn’t stay, at the higher rate of $269, and a refund for the cheaper Thursday night, 4/2, at $179. There was only one roll of toilet paper in the room, too. An awful experience all around.
