Days Inn Jacksonville Baymeadows

The man at the counter was very nice, but the room smelled awful and everything was outdated, with parts falling off. The bathroom and shower were the worst I've ever seen. Sadly, you don't see the rooms until after you've paid. The owner should stay here to see for themselves. The area wasn't good either, but surely they can do better. I would tear the place down and rebuild it. Worst hotel experience I've ever had.

They even brought a package from the office straight to our door before we had a chance to go get it. The manager on duty had called to let us know it arrived, then came by with it. That kind of service says a lot. Every day there was a friendly knock with clean linens, coffee, and whatever supplies we needed. The staff were helpful and attentive, always trying to do more for us. The pool was the best part. It was closed for maintenance one day, which I understand, and they keep the area very clean with crystal-clear water. They called our room when it reopened so we wouldn't miss any swim time. In my experience, lots of places argue about giving you clean towels, and customer care can feel nonexistent. This Days Inn put customers first and did its best to meet our requests. Of everywhere I've stayed, this was the best. We'll definitely be back when we're in the area.

We checked in and then immediately checked out. The room was filthy and smelled horrible. There were toothbrushing marks on the bathroom mirror, pubic hairs on the floor, cigarette burns on the tub and bed covers, and long black hair in the bed when we turned it down. Nothing felt sanitary. When I asked where the pool was, the gentleman said it was closed, on Memorial Day weekend. He was also very rude and told us, "Fine, get out, I'll give you a refund." Worst experience ever. Stay away.

In my 56 years and after a lot of travel, this was without a doubt the most disgusting hotel I've stayed in. The room smelled horrible, the carpet was filthy, and the bathroom was awful. The tub was gray with dirt and had drops of something along the edge. There wasn't even a place to hang toilet paper, just a shelf, and no bar of soap or Kleenex. The door's security latch was broken, and the TV only got two advertising channels. I honestly can't think of one positive thing to say.
