My Place Hotel-Jacksonville/Camp Lejeune, NC

Check-in went well, but the window shade fell on me when I got to my room. They moved me to another one, where the fridge didn’t work, though thankfully the freezer did and I could refreeze my ice pack. My room got hot at night even with the unit set to 66, and the tub had someone else’s hair in it, so it could’ve been cleaned better. When I tried to tell the woman about the problems, she acted like she didn’t care.

We were in town to visit our son at Camp Geiger, and the hotel was conveniently close, with restaurants and shops within walking distance. The free coffee was available all day and night, and it was actually really good. We noticed breakfast room service was offered too, though we didn’t try it. Thanks for a lovely stay!

After I told the receptionist that my mother had passed away, everyone on staff that night showed me kindness and support. I felt at home here, and it meant a lot to be somewhere people could see I was hurting and respond with care. Thank you for the heartfelt hospitality.

Having a Walmart just across the road made it easy to stock the kitchen, and getting to Camp Lejeune or other key places was simple. I also felt safe walking nearby. The staff were consistently courteous and helpful, and their friendly little chats gave me a sense of community without ever feeling intrusive. From arrival through checkout, they made me feel that my comfort mattered. I spent four weeks here on my own, and the room setup worked especially well for a longer stay. The full kitchen had a large fridge, stovetop, and microwave, so I could make food when I wanted and have a bit of independence. The room was roomy enough to relax in, with a comfortable chair that became my favorite spot. Everything was clean throughout the hotel, and I felt secure. The laundry onsite was easy to use, too. My Place Hotel-Jacksonville/Camp Lejeune felt more like my own little apartment than a regular hotel room. I’d happily stay here again.
