Red Roof Inn Jacksonville - Cruise Port

The rooms weren’t fancy, but they were no worse than other places at the same price. Denise made the stay worthwhile by going above and beyond for my family. She brought extra pillows quickly and was incredibly kind. I also saw her pay for a homeless woman’s room out of her own pocket.

We were stuck because we’d brought a dog, otherwise we would’ve left immediately. Thank goodness the bed was clean, since I didn’t want to touch anything else. The online photos aren’t of this RRInn, despite the ad for NEW rooms. Our room and many others had partly or completely shattered windows. The floor was sticky, dirty, and damaged; the faucets were loose and spraying. The furniture looked trashy, the whole place smelled bad, and there was broken glass around the building and dog poop everywhere. It felt unsafe. This motel needs a total makeover before anyone else is allowed to spend the night.

For the price, this place is hard to beat. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were kind and made sure people’s needs were taken care of. There’s on-site security, which made the place feel pretty relaxed. Big thanks to manager Ms.Ava and the whole team for making my stay easier. 👌🏾💯

I keep coming back partly because shops and restaurants are so close, with most of them an easy walk away. The staff also put on a Halloween event for families staying there, with food, music, costumes, and kids having a good time. Ava has helped whenever I had questions or needed something. It can get noisy since it’s an indoor hotel, but the rates are reasonable and the staff do their best to accommodate you.
