Stayable Jacksonville West

I’ve just rented a nice studio apartment here, and I’m looking forward to living here. Sage is so nice and easy to talk to, and Jamie has helped me a lot. They’re both very knowledgeable. I also won’t forget Abby the leasing agent, she was awesome while I was figuring everything out, lol. Everyone has been great. It’s a nice place.

No breakfast, but the location makes up for it: Waffle House, Burger King, Dunkin Donuts, and a gas station are all within walking distance. There’s also a little play area for kids, which looks like a big play house from inside and was really cool. The pool area is pretty and fairly large, too. I liked the family-friendly touches, including a safety feature on the microwave. The fridge worked perfectly, the AC was strong, the WiFi reliable, and the shower had steady hot water. My room, bed, and towels were clean. The front desk staff were kind and patient, even though I booked at the last minute. I had a Single Room - Non-Smoking. Check-in was 04:00 PM and check-out 11:00 AM. They’re pet-friendly, with a reasonable $15 fee. They were lovely to my baby boy and even offered treats. It’s a very decent place for the price, and the inside was nicer than I expected.

Toya at the front desk was so kind when I checked in a few hours ago. She said to let her know if I needed anything. The inside of the hotel looked amazing, and so far my stay is going well. I just wish the pool had been open. I hope checkout goes as smoothly. If anything changes during my stay, I’ll update this.

The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the pool area inside was a good size and clean, though it could use upkeep. There was a children’s play area and a game room that we didn’t check out. The food area and restaurant were closed, which was a shame given the open, convenient location of the food space. Our one-night stay wasn’t a bad experience, and we didn’t hate it, but the place needs a full paint job and a proper scrub. Some rooms are being remodeled; the others need attention. Our beds weren’t comfortable, though the linen was clean and there were no bugs. The non-smoking interior room smelled strongly of cigarettes. Guest services said smoke from people in the back rooms sometimes comes through the vents, but it smelled as if someone had lived and smoked in our room. There seemed to be short-term residents, many with children. Kids ran and stomped in the halls close to 11pm, and loud music started from several rooms around then. The worst part was the white tub, with black footprints on the bottom. It needed a thorough cleaning, and a shower curtain would’ve been nice.
