The Sunny Room gets plenty of sunlight and has extra space, which made it a great choice. Nancy Lloyd also knows the neighborhood and its people well, and she’s happy to point guests toward good places to eat and things to do, or suggest jogging routes. Her breakfasts were excellent, and she’d make more if we asked. Even over several days, she didn’t repeat a recipe.
We headed out at 3am from the Currier House for a hike up Mt. Monadnock to see comet ISON, and Nancy was completely welcoming about our unusual plan. When we got back, she had a full breakfast waiting: eggs, sausage, toast, and a delicious baked apple. The coffee was heavenly, which says a lot because I’m picky about it. She was a lovely host, and we’d be glad to stay again.
