Econo Lodge Jamestown South

For one night on our road trip, this worked just fine for our family. It's a budget hotel in a great spot right off the interstate. The one-story property was quiet, and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast is served at the Super 8 across the parking lot. I assume they have the same owner, since Econolodge and Super 8 would normally compete in the budget market.

I was passing through on my way to Alaska, and this small, quiet, clean room was just right for sleeping. Check-in is at the Super 8 because they share staff, but it's only a walk across the parking lot. If that bothers you, you're an extremely unhappy person. The woman checking me in was great and suggested a nearby Mexican restaurant, and the man there the next morning was super nice too. I'll stay again on my way back once my Alaska job is done.

The cleanest, most comfortable motel I've stayed at in years. Definitely five stars!

After several disappointing hotel stays, finding this clean place was a welcome surprise. The building and hallway smelled nice, and our room felt fresh and clean too. The towels and bedding were nice. The only thing needing attention was the TV-side light fixture, which had two burned-out bulbs. We mentioned it to the assistant manager at checkout, and he was glad to know and said he'd pass it along to housekeeping. Breakfast was a standard continental spread, and the area was clean. The staff were kind. It's a lovely place right off I-94, next to the exit for Hi281. We don't travel often, but this was a very welcome change.
