They overcharge for a stank room that smells like rotten fish. The doors don’t shut or lock, and there’s a mold smell as soon as you enter the rooms. Housekeeping is completely rude and wants to wake you up at 9:00 A.M. asking, “Hey, do you need to check out tee time?” They don’t have coffee to fill your soul, and instead they’ll take your soul. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE OR YOU’RE LIABLE TO GET KIDNAPPED.

For the price, it’s a solid hotel. The outside looks a bit rough, but it’s not a bad place to stay. Staff were decently pleasant.

The rooms were nice and clean, but the price was very high: $100, with a $98.47 deposit. Motel 6 looked as if it were all boarded up, so we stayed at Days Inn next door.

Our relief in Room 127 didn’t last long. It smelled better than the first room, but when we checked the sheets with the UV light, we found something so shocking I’m not comfortable describing it because it was graphic. The photos I took are just as disturbing, and I don’t feel comfortable sharing them publicly. We had first booked a queen bed in Room 125 at the Motel 6 in Jennings, LA. As soon as we went in, there was a foul smell like fecal matter. I used my HVAC UV Pen Light to look closer at the room and saw that the bed linens appeared dirty, with a clear difference between clean parts and heavily soiled areas, especially where people usually sit or rest their heads. I took pictures and went to the front desk to complain. They offered us an upgrade to Room 127, right next door. This was deeply disappointing, a health hazard and a disgrace. Guests shouldn’t have to deal with conditions like this when basic cleanliness is expected. I plan to alert the Louisiana Department of Health Surgeon General, Ralph L. Abraham, M.D., about this matter under Title 51 PUBLIC HEALTH—SANITARY CODE. Public health and safety shouldn’t be compromised by negligence or cost-cutting measures. I strongly advise anyone considering a stay at this Motel 6 to think twice and, if possible, inspect the room carefully before settling in. These establishments need to be held accountable for providing the safe, clean environments they promise.
