Caribbean Shores

The location is convenient, close to downtown Jensen and the waterway, but my stay in the Osprey cottage was a big disappointment for the price. Road noise was terrible at night. The bedroom and bathrooms were tiny, and the window AC unit had mold, so we didn't use it. There were strange black specks all over the bed blanket, so we took off all the bedding. After our first night, the bed collapsed when we tried to get out. Check-in and checkout instructions weren't clearly communicated, and nobody replied when I asked about WiFi. Overall, a very disappointing stay.

The place itself was quiet, clean, and very nice, and the complimentary laundry room was great. We booked three nights but only stayed one because of an unfortunate situation that led to a hospital stay of two weeks so far. The manager wasn't friendly or helpful with the emergency and wouldn't put me in touch with the owner when I asked. We paid for all three nights, even though we stayed just one. It is what it is, but I really would have liked to return.

The rooms feel brand new, the grounds and pool are kept up beautifully, and there's plenty to do nearby. I came to relax and eat, and there are lots of options for both. The staff cover several properties, so it can be hard to speak with someone in person, but they're very nice and helpful by text. The place is really clean and comfortable, a gem for a reasonable price. I can't say enough good things about Carribean Shores.

For this price and location, you get more than you could ask for. The rooms are clean, almost new-smelling, and quite comfortable. I'm very particular about cleanliness and check carefully for bedbugs since my son owns a Pest Control Co.; the room passed my inspection. Check-in is remote through a Ring doorbell, even before the office closes. After I gave them my information about the key, they didn't answer the doorbell again to tell me where my room was, which was my only disappointment. I hope to come back soon.
