Inn at Jericho

Check-in was a mess and took a while. The first keys wouldn't open the door after four tries, and the next room they gave us was already occupied. The manager accepted no responsibility and brushed off how bad the situation was. I'm angry and very dissatisfied with the staff's response. We won't be back.

I only booked here because it was the one reasonably priced room nearby. The room was clean on the surface, though it clearly needs updating, and the other hotels around there seemed wildly overpriced. I came to see Frankie Valli. I might return if Frank Sinatra comes to town, but otherwise, this was an absolute last resort.

You can hear people talking and doing things in the rooms next door because the walls are so thin.

The WiFi worked, and the bathroom was okay, but otherwise it was basic, with the usual wear and tear. I paid over $160 for a Saturday night in May, which felt overpriced for what you got. Like the roadside chains, this place seemed to have surge pricing. It was clean, but there wasn't even complimentary coffee in the lobby or a coffee machine in the room. Dispensers for shampoo and body wash might also cut down on landfill waste. I could smell cannabis now and then, perhaps from a room above or next door. The handwritten notice on the lobby entrance saying it was fully booked and had no rooms by the hour left me with one last bad feeling.
