Global Luxury Suites Downtown Jersey City

Booking Global luxury suites for my husband’s birthday was a mistake, and the poor service ruined what I hoped would be a special stay. The apartments looked decent, and the view from the top was good, but the promised harbor view was barely visible. After I reserved, our floor was changed from 22 to 16. Getting a straight answer was difficult from the start. I asked about early check-in and had to contact them five times before getting an update. On arrival, a customer service representative said our key was ready at the front desk, but it wasn’t. When I called again, the woman spoke rudely and said it wouldn’t be ready until 4.00 pm. The staff were inconsistent and uncooperative, and they weren’t polite when responding to our requests. I had also arranged parking in advance and was told one spot would cost 25$ per day. The lot was full when we arrived, and only then did we learn parking was first come, first served. That information should have been given when we booked. I still don’t understand why they charge close to 120$ in taxes and fees. I’ll never recommend booking here, and I hope nobody else makes the same mistake.

The price felt fair, and the apartment was comfortable with a nice view. The welcome basket was a useful extra, with dishwashing liquid, toiletries, and other items. The location is convenient too, in a clean residential area near the train station and the city. The front desk could be better. We waited almost half an hour for someone to appear, then the woman handed us an envelope with the keys and no other information. The welcome letter explained checkout but said nothing about the facilities, such as which floor the gym is on. The front desk service could improve.

The apartment felt very mediocre. The paint job was poor, and there were burn holes in the floor. Some things didn’t work, including the cordless phone, and a toilet roll holder was broken. Customer service said they’d fix the problems after I complained, but three days later we were still waiting. The woman on the phone said there hadn’t been enough time to paint between guests. That’s a lame excuse. We didn’t sign up for a B Grade apartment or service.

We rented an apartment in Jersey city through global luxury for 10 days. Things seemed fine until we requested a bed sheet cover. They said they’d leave it in the room. Since we were tourists, we usually left in the morning and came back at night. The next day, $500 was missing from the room. We filed a police report, and the police came to the apartment. When we asked the company for an explanation and a solution, they said they WOULDN'T DO ANYTHING. Churchill Suites was also involved in the rental, and a worker from Churchill Suites was the ONLY person with access to the room to deliver the cover sheet. I can’t say who took the money, but the company refused to help solve the problem. The service was really bad, and the people were mean. This is a real shame, and I absolutely don’t recommend using this service.
