We felt so supported and loved during our two years at The One. It was wonderful being part of this lovely community. Thank you for having us!

The river is right nearby, and living close to a PATH station makes commuting easy. The neighborhood keeps getting better too, with new restaurants, fitness studios, and bubble tea places opening all the time. After five years, this place really feels like home. The building stays spotless, and the apartments are quiet and comfortable. Management, the doorman, and maintenance crew are all friendly, responsive, and ready to help. The amenities are great: a pool, gym, ping pong table, grill, and even a golf simulator. I'm really happy to be part of this community.
This dry cleaner charges less than other shops in the neighborhood, but after my experience I wouldn't trust them with a coat. When I picked mine up, several buttons had been broken into pieces, inside and out, and the damage was quite serious. I went back to ask about it, and the clerk seemed unhappy and lectured me. She said it was my responsibility to tell them to cover the buttons if the coat was valuable. If I didn't ask, they wouldn't protect them and they could break. So apparently it was all my fault. LMAO. She was still "kind enough" to look for replacements to fix "my own mistake," but the buttons were a special design by the maker, Theory, and there wasn't a generic replacement. She suggested I contact Theory customer service. I eventually went home and sorted it out with Theory myself. The clerk repeated four times during my visit that I should have told them to cover the buttons, as if to make sure I understood they hadn't done anything wrong. Before I left, she reminded me one last time to tell them in the future. Just, LOL. They wouldn't offer even a refund or discount. They chose to keep the few dozen bucks, though most customers wouldn't care much about that amount, instead of showing they were willing to take responsibility and protect their reputation. Sad. If you're willing to risk using this store, remember that when something goes wrong they offer no solution and take zero responsibility.
I had a great experience with the management team at The One and found them excellent to work with. My concern is the building's only parking option, the third-party provider LAZ Parking, which future residents should know about. Their online portal is often unreliable and missing basic administrative features you'd expect from a normal subscription service. Getting a direct, personalized reply from the team is nearly impossible, and support tends to send canned templates that don't address the actual question or solve anything. Be aware of the move-out billing rules too. They say they require 30 days' notice, but they won't prorate refunds and the billing cycle starts strictly on the first of the month. In practice, avoiding an overcharge means giving two months' notice.
At 30, I hit a point in life where I had to face some hard questions about my future. Did I want to keep living in Brooklyn, raving often with models and getting energized by drugs and alcohol in a pool of lustful sensation? Or move to Jersey City, slow down, get a dog, and become another person in a tower full of a thousand adults, their babies, and their dogs? Edit: After a year here, I love the apartment. The door and maintenance staff are amazing. Management kind of sucks, so hopefully you never need them, because dealing with them is awful.
