44 Broadway works well as a smaller satellite spot for the Inn at Jim Thorpe. Our room was on the small-to-medium side, but there was a pleasant shared sitting room and a nice deck outside. There's no food service, though guests can use a shared refrigerator.

The shared spaces were a bright spot: there’s a pleasant sitting area upstairs, plus a room with tables and chairs for eating, and an outdoor deck and courtyard. There’s no way to prepare food, though. Parking is free, but the garage has only about 10 spaces. If those are full, finding somewhere else may be difficult, since the Inn’s listed parking areas each hold no more than roughly 15-20 cars. Our suite was in the white brick building attached to the house, a good walk from the main Inn at Jim Thorpe. I expected more for $250 a night. The room and bathroom were small, the whirlpool tub took up much of the space, and the fridge and microwave felt awkwardly placed in a corner. The electric fireplace was inexpensive-looking and didn’t add much atmosphere. I’m not especially tall, and I’ve stayed in places across the US, but this room was still well below what I’d expected. There aren’t photos showing what the suites look like, so I’m posting pictures of our room. The place was clean, the staff were friendly, and the town was interesting to explore. Still, I had to take time off work and drive through awful conditions to arrive Friday night because they don’t allow a one-night booking. I wouldn’t recommend booking a suite.

The bartenders were friendly, and the drinks were well made. My wife especially liked her whiskey sour. We paid under $25 for two whiskey sours and two Makers on the rocks, which was hard to beat. It’s not a craft beer bar, but there’s a good range of hard liquor and a few decent beers on tap. It can get packed just before shows at the Opera house.

Thanks to Connie for being so understanding and helpful with our family emergency this morning and our cancellations. We hope to stay at the Inn in the spring. Happy New Year, Connie, and thanks again.

Our suite was spotless and roomy, with a king bed and jacuzzi. It was very comfortable, and the price was good for what came with the room.
