The sheets were clean, but the room wasn't. There were two kinds of hair in the sink, more in the tub, and what looked like a booger on the end table. It fell well short of what I expect from a Marriott. Thankfully, we were there for only one night.

The shower curtain liner had boogers on it about six inches from my face while I was showering. That was the last straw, and I won't be back. The room also had no TV remote. The gym was boarded up, and the market was nearly empty and pretty sad. I arrived around midnight after work to an empty lobby and reception. There was no sign saying anyone would be back, and nobody answered when I called out. A front desk worker finally showed up about 15 minutes later. I got checked in, but there was no welcome gift or even a bottle of water, despite my high status. I've stayed over 100 nights with Marriott in the past year, and this was easily the worst Marriott property I've experienced.

The room was clean and the bed was really comfortable. It all felt new and modern after the renovation. Breakfast was basic but had enough to get the day started, with eggs, ham, sausage, waffles, and some cold choices. Nothing over the top, but good enough, especially for such a modest room rate.
