The rooms have a decent layout and are fairly spacious, but they’re grimy and not very clean. There was hair on the towels, apparently from a previous guest. The walls are thin, so I could hear everything in the hallway and the neighboring rooms, especially through the shared doors. The AC is very sensitive, and the room temperature swings to extremes. I believe dust from the ongoing construction caused flu-like symptoms during my three-night stay at the Hyatt place. Staff were often missing from the front desk or took several minutes for simple tasks. When I asked for a room receipt, the worker said she “wasn’t logged in” and took several minutes to print it. More often than not there was nobody at the desk. There is free breakfast, but it’s awful, even for a free meal. Staying here is better than sleeping on the street because at least there’s a roof and running water, but you’re left to fend for yourself. This location has a long way to go before I’d recommend it to anyone.
The towels and washcloths were cheap, the ice machine didn’t work, and our floor smelled of cigarettes or something nasty. Breakfast was also cheap, limited, and not fresh like the website shows. The utensils and plates are plastic, the bowls are small plastic, and the cups are child-size. Two front desk employees were indifferent and lacked people skills, and the property seems understaffed. The old elevators sound like they’re on their last legs. They’re remodeling, but that won’t fix the basic problems. This is a low-quality motel and doesn’t meet Hyatt standards. Stay somewhere else.
Mrs. Nan was awesome, professional, and very knowledgeable. She had me checked in within 5-6 minutes, told me the breakfast hours, and kept smiling throughout. I was on the fifth floor. Some areas looked like they were being repainted, but the hallway was clean and well maintained. There’s plenty of free parking, and lots of restaurants and stores within five minutes. The hotel and my room were quiet and clean, with a nice-sized flat-screen on the wall. The mattress was surprisingly firm, and I had a nice two-night stay, from 2/7/2026-2/9/2026. Breakfast included sausage, eggs, potatoes, cereal, toast, yogurt, and orange and apple juice.
The price was very cheap, but it still didn’t feel like a great value. The rooms are fine, though both check-in and check-out came with an attitude, as if I were bothering the staff. Breakfast plates and utensils were plastic and Styrofoam. Who wants to eat off Styrofoam?
I was excited to stay here, but I’m disappointed. I know room assignments aren’t always up to you when you reserve, but I told the front desk woman, who I think was Nan, that I wanted a room away from the first floor because breakfast makes it noisy in the morning. She gave me a first-floor room anyway, and I don’t feel like any accommodation was made. I’m a veteran and struggle with sleep, and the noise on the first floor has had me awake since 6 a.m. I probably won’t use my Costco app to book another Hyatt stay if this is what happens when I ask not to be put on the first floor. I appreciate the discount, but it isn’t worth feeling unheard.
