The breakfast area was spotless and the employee there kept it in good shape, though the eggs were rubbery. At checkout, the $25 deposit was left off the final bill and my card was charged accordingly. It seemed like neither the front desk employee nor the manager really understood how the deposit worked. We only learned about the extra $25 at check-in. It hadn't been mentioned when we booked, in the confirmation email, or in later messages from AmericInn. The manager said it would be charged to my card and refunded after checkout once the room was checked for damage, with the timing depending on my bank. She couldn't give me a receipt showing that charge separately, only a total that included it. The receptionist seemed new and didn't have anyone helping her with questions. We ended up asking for the manager, who didn't seem very focused on customer service. When we got to the room, the keys didn't work, so my husband had to go back to the desk. We then found a lot of existing damage in the room, which made us worry about how the extra deposit would be assessed. This deposit policy needs to be explained clearly in booking confirmations and follow-up emails, and staff need better training so they can answer guests' questions.

The room was clean and the towels were soft. Hot water took a while to reach the shower, and there was no ice on the second floor. We had a heavy bag and wished there were an elevator. It was a decent place, and we'd probably stay again.

The hot breakfast came with the stay, which was a welcome bonus since our friends at the host hotel were paying $15 a day for it. We were in town for a weekend event and chose this Americinn across the highway instead of staying at the host hotel. It was nicer than most and cheaper, too. The room was simple and the shower was hot, so it worked well for us.

We often book here when we're in town for an evening or weekend event. The room was clean and fresh smelling when we arrived, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was a nice extra, as usual.

I booked four nights but left after just one. There were roaches all over the room. I managed to kill a few, but the others were too fast, and I still get chills thinking about it. When I told the front desk, the attendant acted like it was no big deal. She didn't apologize or offer to move us, and she wouldn't even look at the photos I took. She said, "I don't need to see the pictures. Someone on the morning shift will deal with that." All she did was change my checkout date. This place is disgusting. Don't stay here!
