Sleep Inn Jonesboro-Hodge

The staff were kind and helpful, check-in was fast even when we arrived late on both visits, and the stay was quiet with good AC. I liked the interior halls and how clean everything smelled, which matters to me. The lobby and rooms were very clean, with clean carpet and plenty of towels and pillows. The beds were just right for comfort, Wi-Fi was good, and the water pressure was fine and got good and hot. The coffee was good too. I hope they bring back the full breakfast, though I understand the coronavirus made that hard to provide.

The rooms weren’t very clean, and there was a roach by the coffee pots. The shower door wouldn’t stay shut, and when it did, it was hard to open again. Wi-Fi was slower than phone data. Breakfast was the same each day: old-tasting sausage and strangely cooked eggs that tasted like plastic. The night auditor was rude and mean to my kids, and got an attitude with me when I brought it up. I’ll never stay here again.

We stayed June 9-11, 2017, and I loved it. The staff were polite and helpful, and the woman assisting at breakfast was especially accommodating. There was a variety of food in the morning, and it exceeded what I expected. The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the AC was perfect. I’d definitely stay again if I’m in the area.

We came for a funeral in a nearby town and had planned to stay two days, but checked out after one. We left the hotel between noon and 1 PM on the second day and were still charged the full price for that night. Breakfast was inedible. The eggs were cold, and the sausage links were microwaved before being put out. They were cold too, and had been nuked so much they were rubbery and tough to eat. The milk smelled spoiled and came out in clumps. The rooms were clean, but the pillows were very small and uncomfortable. I’m giving two stars instead of one because they let us check in before 1 PM so we could leave our bags before our family member’s wake.
