The staff were friendly and helpful, and they pointed us toward things to do nearby and at the hotel. We also spent some time in the relaxing spa, though we arrived late enough that we could only get a medi pedi and missed the rest of the spa experience. We stayed in the Harrison Presidential Suite. It was roomy, but for over $400 a night I expected breakfast to be included, and the room didn’t feel worth the price. I could have booked a cheaper room with a stove and kitchen. The sheets, carpet, and rough towels weren’t especially comfortable. The tile beside the tub creaked and shifted underfoot, and the loud heating and AC unit plus traffic noise made it hard to sleep. We had fun, but next time I’d choose a less expensive room.

The pool area was gorgeous, with lovely landscaping, and the huge bathroom was a treat. Our room was spotless and quiet, and the beds were really comfortable. The staff were kind and professional, too. We had a great stay and would happily come back.

We got a lot for the price: the room was nicely furnished and updated, and the staff were both professional and friendly. The historic building is just a short walk from shops and restaurants. It had everything we needed for an overnight stay.

Traveling solo, I especially appreciated how easy the bartenders were to talk to. They also suggested some good food and beer choices. At check-in, the front desk person was professional and helpful, and took time to point out the amenities. The place has the look and service of a luxury hotel but without the stuffiness. I felt well looked after.

The bar had a nice atmosphere and great drinks, and everyone in guest services was welcoming and professional. I felt comfortable in my room, which was beautifully furnished and made for a relaxing retreat. The spa was exactly what I needed, relaxing and luxurious. I had a wonderful stay at the Carnegie Hotel and would love to return.
