The pool was cold, but my kids loved it, and the hours worked perfectly for us. Our room was clean, and breakfast was simple but good. They also kindly put us on the first floor since I was on crutches, even though we'd accidentally booked the wrong weekend. I'd stay again. A couple of small fixes would help: better pillows, or at least a firmer choice, and the door seal in our room, which had a large gap letting in light and noise.

The beds were comfortable and the room wasn't noisy at night. The front desk staff were courteous, too. The bathroom grout needs cleaning, and there was mold by the window. Furniture looked outdated, and the TV was small.

The front desk lady was very nice, but I wouldn't recommend this hotel. It smelled like a dump. The rooms were basic, there was lots of traffic noise, and the elevator smelled like it was on fire. Everywhere else had the odor of a cleaning product storage area, and the pool was closed. Some of the reviews make me think they might be fake.

The air conditioning in our room didn't work, and there were stains in a few places. We booked through Priceline, so maybe we got what I'd call the Priceline room. Either way, I was very disappointed with Marriott this time.

I liked the clean room and friendly staff. Debbie deserves a shout-out. I'll stay here again when I'm in Joplin.
