Candlewood Suites Junction City Fort Riley by IHG

Customer service was great, but it felt like the problem was with management or higher up. A lot of things didn't work, including the remote, kitchenette, and microwave. There was no cleaning at all during my 5 days, so trash piled up. The coffee was too strong, and I was disappointed. I'm not making this mistake with Candlewood again.

It was my first time staying at a Candlewood, and I had a really great experience. Susanne at the front desk was so nice and accommodating, which was refreshing. The rooms were clean and smelled pleasant, and the staff were friendly.

I don't usually leave reviews because most hotel stays are average, but this one stood out. The room was extremely clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The front desk woman was so kind, called me by my first name, and chatted with me. It was a very good stay, and I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

UPDATE 2nd Visit 2025: The property is still being kept up nicely, and it's very clean everywhere, with good lighting inside and out. Every employee we saw smiled and said hello or good morning or evening. We didn't meet a single unfriendly person. Our 1 Bedroom Queen was roomy, with a separate bedroom, 2 closets, a couch, a recliner, 2 TVs, and 3 chairs at the counter. The kitchen was nicely set up with everything we needed, and the curtains did a great job blocking the morning sun. The bed was firmer than we usually like, but it wasn't uncomfortable and we slept well. The only issue was very low water pressure, though it was enough to rinse fully, so it wasn't a deal breaker. Once again, nothing but 5s. We'd recommend this hotel and stay again. 1ST REVIEW 2024 (condensed version): The room was clean and well appointed, and the whole property was clean and well lit. The woman who checked us in, whose name I don't recall, was very nice and helpful, with a sweet smile. Jason, who checked us out, was always nice and helpful. We absolutely recommend this place if you're visiting the area!
