Hampton Inn Junction City

The interstate-side rooms can be noisy enough to make it hard to fall asleep. You could ask for a room on the other side of the building, or use the earplugs provided. Even with that in mind, my wife and I had a restful weekend away in this small town, and the price and location were good. Every staff member we met, from housekeeping and maintenance to the desk and kitchen, was kind and had a good attitude. Susan from breakfast especially stood out for how much she cared about helping us. They were happy to get me the remote so I could turn down the lobby TV, and let us spend some time in the lobby after checkout. We appreciated the free earplugs, afternoon cookie, real honey packets, and activity sheets for our kids. The women were glad to give us the sheets, and the whole atmosphere made us feel welcome.

The pool was closed until mid-April because its heating element failed after the renovation, which was disappointing since it was a major reason I chose the hotel. Ice machines weren't working on the first, third, or fourth floors, but staff could bring ice from their office. We could also hear traffic from the highway and people in nearby rooms, especially in the bathroom; earplugs were provided by the bed. Even with those drawbacks, our stay was pleasant, and I'll book here again when I'm in Junction City. The room was spotless, the beds comfortable, and my kid loved the large TV and the welcome screen with my name on it. There was a desk, closet, drawers, microwave, and mini fridge, plus a spacious bathroom stocked with towels and toiletries. A small store at reception had snacks and forgotten essentials, and breakfast had a range of foods. The large parking lot was well lit. Booking, check-in, and checkout were smooth, and staff followed up by text and email to ask how things were going and whether they could help. I chose this place because it had the area's highest rating, and I can see why: the facility was clean and the customer service was great.

Both the evening and morning staff were friendly and courteous. We missed breakfast, but they offered us items to take along as we left. The room was fantastic and had a walk-in shower. A very nice hotel, highly recommended.

The breakfast was delicious, and they even packed to-go bags for anyone who needed to leave early. The staff were so accommodating that we came back for another night. My special needs son had plenty of room in the huge room, and everyone was friendly and helpful. A wonderful place to stay, definitely recommended!
