The room was amazingly clean, and the beds were comfortable. Check-in was easy, and the woman at the desk was attentive and friendly. There's truck parking next door. Couldn't have asked for a better room, and I'd definitely stay again.

There isn't an elevator, and you enter from outside, which raised a security concern for me. Traffic was noticeable, with the room less than 500 feet from Interstate 10. The rooms are small, dated, and sparsely furnished. The bathroom is cramped, with hardly any counter space by the sink, and the closet hardware was rusty.

Be careful when booking: this comes up in searches for San Angelo, but it's about an hour and a half away. I booked after work, then saw the directions and called right away to explain. It was around 7 pm after a 12-hour shift, and I'd have had to drive two hours, get up at 5 am, and do another 12-hour shift. Even after I begged, the woman wouldn't cancel my nonrefundable reservation and basically said tough luck. She told me there was nothing she could do, which I didn't believe. In ten years of traveling, I'd never had a hotel refuse to cancel under those circumstances. The hotel itself wasn't bad, but it's in the middle of nowhere, and that felt like terrible business practice. I went in anyway, and in person she said she'd cancel next time and offered me a bottle of water for the trouble. Okay. I'd have to break down in the parking lot to stay here again. It was my fault for not double-checking and for expecting the same fairness I've found at 99 percent of other hotels. Yesterday, I mixed up Quality Inn and La Quinta, called, and got my nonrefundable reservation canceled in 45 seconds. Go figure. Please watch the location: it's not near San Ang. I hope this saves fellow hard-working travelers money, time, and a four-hour drive.

The sheets were clean, the room was excellent, and the front desk service was outstanding. There's also truck parking for tractor trailers and bobtails. I'll be back for sure. Don't hesitate to book.
