The house itself is so cozy and beautifully decorated, you feel at home as soon as you walk in. Linda welcomed my now-wife and me and let us hold our wedding ceremony there, even though we were on a cruise and had very little time to plan. She and Elizabeth, the housekeeper, worked with our photographers to make it a wonderful experience. They’re both kind, genuine, and incredibly generous people. The building is one of a kind, and when we return to Juneau, I can’t imagine staying anywhere else.

Elizabeth and Bing made us feel as if we were guests in a comfortable home. They were such good hosts, and Bing’s elegant breakfasts were far beyond ordinary B&B food. Our room was quiet, with a very comfortable bed. The inn is close enough to walk around easily, yet set back from the cruise ship crowds. Elizabeth also told us about the building’s fascinating history and helped us get our bearings in the city. We had a great stay.

We stayed in the private, romantic Cabin Room for our wedding, and it was just right as a place to unwind afterward. My parents, my husband, and I were there this summer, and Elizabeth and Bing made the whole visit feel special from the start. The private dinner they hosted for our immediate family on the wedding night was a highlight. They helped us pick plates and tablecloths, and pointed us to local places to find wine and flowers for the centerpiece. The meal was the best food we ate in Juneau. Their thoughtfulness made the evening mean a lot to us, and we’ll always remember it. They also had great suggestions for places to eat and explore. My husband and I enjoyed hearing about their travels and life experiences, and appreciated their warmth, humor, and heartfelt advice. They brought a lot of energy to the room, especially at breakfast. This was a one of a kind wedding stay, thanks to two wonderful hosts.

The rooms were comfortable and everything worked. Elisabeth and Bing were welcoming, shared whatever information we needed, and served an out of this world breakfast. The historic building has been lovingly restored. It’s right by the State Capitol, so we could easily walk downtown or head out for a hike. A real crown jewel of Juneau.

We had a lovely four night visit. The house is fascinating, and the rooms we saw each had their own warm, inviting feel. Elizabeth and Bing were friendly and accommodating. Bing’s breakfasts were delicious, and it was fun chatting with the other guests each morning. Everything is an easy walk away. We really enjoyed our stay.
