Kahana Village 26 in Lahaina

Unit 38 is spectacular, and the grounds are well kept. The kids could play in the sand without a problem, even though the beach by the water is very rocky. Other beaches are only a short drive away. We're glad we chose this place away from the busy resorts, and we'd absolutely stay here again.

We stayed in #29 on June 26 and left because what looked like mold was present in many places and we felt sick. Management didn't respond for six hours, until I contacted VEBO support. The manager currently wants to refund the days after we left. The photos show the organic material hidden in plain sight. The location is great, but Kahana village #29 is neglected. It's disappointing that a short term rental wouldn't provide a clean, habitable space. I've traveled in many 3rd world countries where no one would try to pass off this filth.

If I could give more stars on every measure, I would. Kahana Village (K.V.) is a topflite spot on Maui's northwest shore, within easy reach of Lahaina and further north to Kapalua Bay and the Nakalele Blowhole. The grounds are immaculate, the pool is first class, and so are the outdoor BBQs and cabana. The beach is clean and great for beachcombing, swimming, and lounging. Our unit #19, with 3 bdrms and 2 baths, was modern, clean, and just right for three adults and two kids. Everything we needed was there, including beach chairs, boogie boards, snorkeling gear, floaties, and umbrellas. The patio had wonderful ocean views, perfect for whale watching, with closeup views of Lanai and Molokai too. The onsite staff, led by Site Mgr Gretchen Guerrero, and her offsite support deserve 10 stars and then some. Patient, responsive, and always helpful, they were a terrific part of a terrific trip. Absolutely the best. I CAN NOT RECOMMEND K.V. MORE HIGHLY. You will NOT be disappointed!

After countless Maui trips over the last 30 years, this was our first stay on the island's west end, so we did a lot of research beforehand. Unit #21 was well equipped and maintained, and unlike places we've stayed elsewhere on the island, the furniture and other items didn't feel worn out. Gretchen was awesome. She listened to a few concerns and handled them right away. She, her office staff, and the rest of the personnel really showed the aloha spirit. The beach is calm and good for kids. We didn't see any public access to it, and it was never crowded. There’s snorkeling there and at several nearby spots, which was convenient. We'd definitely return to Kahana Village #21 without hesitation.
