Cleanliness matters a lot to me, and Unit 127 was clean, well equipped, and conveniently close to the pool areas. We booked a week through a third party. The complex seemed mostly owner occupied and was quiet, clean, and comfortable. The saltwater pool beside the ocean is great. It's very close to Kona town, with a couple of beaches within a five minute drive. The unit also has coolers and beach chairs to use. There's no washer dryer inside, but the on-site laundry facility is very convenient. Marie was easy to reach and made things simple, especially when we ran into an issue with the booking company that wasn't her fault. It's not a luxury property, but it's exactly as advertised: clean, comfortable, convenient, and in a beautiful location.

The room was okay, and the linens in 224 were definitely clean and smelled wonderful, which we appreciated. The shower area needed more attention: there was mold and debris in the bottom corners, the shower pan was grungy, dirt and sand had collected around the molding by the mopboards, and the walls needed cleaning. Light from the elevator made it hard to sleep because it was so bright and there were no blackout curtains. The location is some distance from downtown, so it's a good fit if nightlife isn't your thing. It was peaceful, and at sunset we sat on the seawall listening to someone blow the conch shell. That was beautiful. If the room got a bit more TLC and these issues were fixed, we'd probably stay again.

Parking was very limited, and we spent half the nights outside the gated area. The place itself was clean, and the people who helped us move in were very nice. It's a little small, and there isn't a washer or dryer in the unit. We knew that before booking, though having laundry in the room is just more convenient. All in all, it was a good week for us.
