We only stopped here because the motel we’d booked fell through. We arrived around 7:30 pm and left around 7:30 the next morning. Check-in took forever because the card machine wouldn’t work, and the woman held onto my ID for a while before returning it. Everyone seemed nice at first, but the room was on a top balcony that felt like it was falling apart and might collapse. The room smelled so awful I started spraying perfume before I’d even looked around. Then I saw black mold all over the bathroom walls, toothpaste left on the sink handles, gunk in the shower, and dust everywhere. It didn’t look like it had been properly cleaned in a long time. We left the window and door open to air it out, but when I turned on the AC because it was extremely hot, it blew out nasty stuff and smelled terrible too. I put our things in the truck while my boyfriend asked the front desk for another room. They said they could spray the room if we went out for a bit. We bought our own spray while we were gone, but when we came back it smelled just as bad, maybe worse, from whatever they’d used. We emptied the whole can we’d bought, but by bedtime the odor was back. We couldn’t even bring ourselves to lie on the bed blankets, so we used a blanket we’d brought and hoodies for pillows. Everything of ours that went inside came out smelling like that hotel. It was disgusting and made me feel gross. I’ll never stay there again, and I wish I hadn’t stayed at all. It needs to be closed down.

The price was decent, and the place was fairly clean, but the rooms smelled so bad I had to go buy deodorizer. There was mold along the top of the shower and above it, the toilet seat was coming loose from its hinges, and the door chain lock was broken. The second floor balcony slanted enough to make me worry it could give way. I booked without doing much research, so that part was my fault, but it was still a bad experience and I wouldn’t return. I can’t see this building passing code enforcement. There’s absolutely nothing to do nearby either.

Great prices and comfortable beds. The atmosphere was good, and the staff were awesome, helpful, and really friendly. Close to good food, too.

With the power out at my house, I called to ask about the cheapest room with a working shower. I was willing to pay for the whole night, use the shower, then sleep at my own local house and bring back the key in the morning. The person who answered insisted I had to physically stay overnight because the front desk would be closed until 6:00 a.m. I asked about checkout and was told it was at 11:00, and said I could return the key then, but they kept saying my plan wasn’t possible. With so many people without power during the ice storm and needing basic things like a shower, it seems ridiculous that they couldn’t take a full night’s fee for that. The person on the phone was honestly one of the least intelligent people I’ve dealt with in a long time. After reading the other reviews, maybe I dodged a bullet.

For one of the more expensive hotels, it didn’t have much to show for the price. The rooms need a lot of maintenance: loose door handles, a missing lock, safety hazards, and poor cleaning. They also need more than one staff member, especially when that person lives there too.
