Kamiah Inn Motel

The heater worked really well, and the staff were nice, but I probably wouldn't stay again. For what we got, it felt way overpriced. The place wasn't horrible, though I'd rate it as a one-star hotel. They call it a full kitchen, but it's just a two-burner stove built into the sink-and-fridge setup. Bring your own pots and pans if you want to cook. There were a few holes in the walls, the bathtub barely drained, and I didn't trust the sink water.

When we pulled back the bedspread, we found several hairs between the sheets, so we went to the office and asked for our money back. The employee was rude and insisted the sheets were new and the room had been cleaned. She called the owner, which made sense, but then told him we were being rude and couldn't possibly be telling the truth. She went to inspect the room and found one hair, apparently deciding that meant we'd exaggerated. One hair is plenty for me. The owner called back to find out what was happening, and I assume he told her to refund us. The employee was rude through the whole exchange. Very disappointing. They also couldn't find our reservation at first. Then the employee came out and said she'd written it on a post-it. Okay.

We were comfortable enough for our one-night stay. The room was large, there was no tobacco smell, and they had hot coffee. It's very plain and there's no breakfast. The kitchenette isn't stocked, so bring your own pans, dishes, everything. The new management was friendly and seems to be making an effort.

They gave our money back, and that was the only good part. The place was so gross that I took pictures and would post them if I could. Pull back the mattress pad and check the bed and bedding. I wrote this after our visit in 2018, three years before the review was marked recent. Things might have changed since then, but this was accurate for the stay we had.
