Holiday Inn Express & Suites Kanab by IHG

Kanab made a handy hub for day trips to Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park, Page, AZ, and even the Grand Canyon North Rim. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and convenient for resting between outings. Check-in went smoothly, thanks to the friendly, helpful front desk staff. A great place to stay while exploring the Southwest.

The rooms were dirty and weren’t cleaned during our stay. They’re also noisy, so you can easily hear guests in the rooms above and beside you. A lot of the equipment is old or doesn’t work right: the door key system, ice machine, and noisy air-conditioning. The guest laundry costs more than at other hotels. Worst hotel experience I’ve had. There are better options in Kanab, so don’t stay here.

Clean rooms and a good breakfast. We came to hike the Wave, then left town. It was a good stay overall, and I’d definitely come back.

The town is charming and easy to get around on foot, with grocery stores, restaurants, and gift and tourist shops. We stayed for a week while visiting Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks, and the hotel worked out really well. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean, the bed very comfortable, and the hot tub was great after long hikes. They even put together breakfast bags for us when we had to leave for the parks before regular breakfast hours. From here, it’s about 3 hours 15 minutes to Las Vegas airport, an hour to Zion’s main entrance, 35 minutes to the east entrance, and 1.5 hours to Bryce Canyon.
