Rodeway Inn

The location was terrific, with the bakery and ice cream shop both an easy walk away, and we loved those places too. Staff were attentive and helpful, and our room was very spacious. The two king beds suited our family, and it was great to have the pool open late so we could cool off after a hot day. The beds were comfortable, the shower was hot, and the AC made the room feel like a meat locker. We didn’t get to breakfast, but were glad it was offered. We had low expectations because it was astonishingly cheap, and ended up blown away. You can’t go wrong here when visiting Kanab.

For such a low price, this was a well-kept motel with a clean, safe room. The pool was clean too, tucked behind the property with mountain views and some privacy. The woman at the desk was kind and had good suggestions for things to do around town. Shops and restaurants were an easy walk away. We’d stayed at another Rodeway Inn the night before that was in terrible condition, so I especially appreciated how this Rodeway Inn was maintained. I’d recommend it if you want to save money and still have a safe, clean stay.

I came to Kanab for hiking, and this place covered what I needed without costing anything like the other hotels I checked. Those were more than twice as much for the same weekend. The building is older, but the price was great and I’d stay again. The room was clean, the staff were very friendly, and I had no complaints. Good hot water and water pressure, plus a TV with a ton of channels, though I barely watched. And thanks to the front desk clerk who lent me a laptop charger when I realized I’d left mine behind. That saved me.

After driving all day with my two kids, I ended up giving up on getting my money back after an hour of arguing. We found a cleaner, nicer room down the street for a little more, with much better service. This place isn’t worth the small savings, and I absolutely do not recommend it. The two rooms they offered were both gross. Dirty, smelly, a grimy bathtub, broken lamp shades, holes in the drywall. When I showed the manager and his wife and walked him through the problems, he was rude and said the rooms were fine. He told me I was being “too picky.” There was no way I was staying there with my children.
