Spark by Hilton Kannapolis

Breakfast was very basic, just bagels, toast, and cereal, with nothing hot or sweet. The hotel was quiet, the room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Whatever construction issues people mentioned in other reviews seem to have passed. I had a nice stay.

I was moving out of state for good and stayed here a few nights with my two boys. The staff were kind, fair, and helpful. Breakfast was the usual quick grab-and-go kind of food, which was fine. It's a decent place to stay if you're not expecting the red carpet treatment.

Lois at the front desk made a real difference during our stay at the Spark Hotel. My boyfriend had a painful back ache and needed ice, so she walked me through what to do, gave me bags, and made sure I had enough to help him get comfortable. She also pointed me to the nearest Walgreens and helped make sure I could get an ice pack properly frozen. She never acted like we were an inconvenience. I first met her when I came downstairs early for coffee. She greeted me with such warmth and kindness, and was genuinely personable. When things feel rushed and overwhelming, that kind of attentiveness and empathy stands out. Lois went the extra mile, and I'm truly grateful for her kindness and professionalism. She's an outstanding asset to the Spark Hotel. Highly, highly recommend!

The hotel was clean and the staff were nice, but I'd probably choose somewhere with a better breakfast next time I'm in town. From the other reviews, I expected more than carbs like cereal, muffins, bagels, and toast, plus hard-boiled eggs. I travel full time for work and often pick hotels based on breakfast. A good one helps me get a jump on the day. :)
