Candlewood Suites Northeast Kansas City by IHG

The pool was closed, and no one told me before I booked. We found blood stains in the bathroom and a dirty rag on the nightstand. My deposit still had not been released after a week. My buddy was charged twice, and despite calling around a dozen times and speaking with the GM, he still had not gotten a refund or even been told whether he would get his money back. They only said it was weird he was double charged and, “Sorry there's really nothing more we can do.” This was the worst hotel experience I've had. You'd be better off sleeping in your car.

Lynnette welcomed me warmly at check-in and covered everything I might need to know, so I had no questions. The room was clean and had all the comforts of home, and the last-minute rate was good. Getting there was fairly easy, and the location worked well for my plans. We enjoyed a dip in the pool at night, though it looked like it could use some cleaning. Later, around midnight, I found the self-serve food and drink kiosk really convenient and well stocked. A great stay, with no major complaints.

The rooms look and smell clean every time I come back to the area, and I really appreciate how well the ladies keep them. The women at the front desk are friendly too. The pool is warm and clean. I could say more, but I don't want to make this review too long.

Everything was clean and well maintained, and the staff were friendly throughout. A wonderful place to stay. I'd definitely come back and recommend it to other people.
