FRONTDESK RM - West Apts, River Market Dist, Kansas City

I've been here about nine months and plan to stay another couple of years. The location is great, and the amenities make it feel like we get our money's worth. It's a short walk to the KC streetcar, and with the new expansion you can get to lots of places around Kansas City for free. Staff have been helpful, and shoutout to Marco for fixing a usually high water bill. One concern: my car was stolen from the 3rd st lot in April. The lot isn't managed by the apartment complex, so I can't really blame them. Break-ins seem common across the River Market area, though, so I'd suggest using a steering wheel lock and not leaving valuables in your car. The parking garage seems aware and has added security on the lower 3rd street lot. Good to see something being done.

I moved because the walls were paper thin, and I was often woken in the middle of the night by neighbors. Living near the pool was a nightmare too, with people waking me up after hours. Then at move-out they charged me $400 for carpet I'd left in perfect condition. Looking through the comments, it seems this is something they do regularly. I guess that's what I get for not taking pictures. The staff were always friendly, but I wouldn't recommend living here.

The location is one of my favorite things, especially being so close to the streetcar. Management is great, the amenities are fantastic, and I love our apartment. The community feels really welcoming, and I've loved living here.

RM West worked really well for me and my partner, especially for the price and location in KC. The climate-controlled garage parking is worth the extra cost, in my opinion. Maintenance was always quick and efficient when I put in a request. It's a great place to live.
