Holiday Inn Country Club Plaza

For a good price, we got a nice-looking room with two queen beds and a decent-sized TV. The bathroom seemed a little dated compared with the rest, but it was fine, and the front desk staff were helpful. The place was a bit confusing to navigate at first, and the elevators were hot, though the room itself was much more comfortable. There's a nice-sized pool, but we didn't use it. The property also has a free parking garage for guests, a fitness room, laundry room, and ice and soda machines.

The room was a good size and clean, just how I like it, and everyone on staff was friendly and very helpful. The shuttle was a great perk. When we asked for somewhere to eat, a staff member was happy to recommend a place that ended up being my favorite. I did find the beds much too firm, though, and not comfortable at all.

The staff were nice and the shuttle service was great, so the stay was pleasant enough. The rooms were average, the bathrooms tiny, and the building shows its age. Finding our room meant walking what felt like forever through a string of hallways, and parking was scarce enough that you needed luck to find a spot quickly.

The rooms were clean and the location was great. I was billed twice for my room, but once I pointed it out, the staff fixed it right away and added some points to my account. The parking garage is small, and having so many spaces taped off for construction when no work was going on made it worse. That's why I gave four stars instead of five.
