There are 18 units, which felt like a lovely balance between privacy and socializing. We stayed in #109, the last ground-floor unit, and had what seemed like the best private ocean view. The unit worked well for us, though it only sleeps two comfortably, maybe three at most. You might squeeze in a playpen. The bed could be more supportive, but I would've slept on the sofa just to stay in this location. There's an onsite washer and dryer. The bathroom could use an update, and the sliding glass doors were hard to open and close. Tropical bugs come with the setting, and ants kept showing up on the kitchen and bathroom counters even though we washed them and took the trash out daily. The grounds were so well kept. There's lots of room to read and lounge in the sun on chairs in the grass, two onsite grills, and a cute little sand area for kids or tanning. You can also go down the stairs right to the ocean. Water toys are available first come, first served. The pool wasn't heated in summer; maybe it is in winter, but I'm not sure. Definitely snorkel here. You'll most likely spot the family of turtles in the rocks off to the right. Other guests said you can see whales in the distance during winter. We loved this place and would highly recommend it. We'll be back!

The ocean view is incredible, and the atmosphere feels private and very nice. People are friendly, too. There wasn't any sandy beach at this time of year, so you'll need to walk or drive elsewhere to get beach access. I'd come back 👍

We stayed at the end of January and saw so many whales jumping each morning. Turtles were swimming close to us, too. The waves sounded lovely and close by. The onsite property manager was super nice and accommodating. What a lovely place. I'd definitely come back.

We really enjoyed what this place has to offer. Condo 105 had been recently renovated and looked beautiful, with a lanai that may be the best in the complex and views that can't be beat. Getting to the water was easy. Parking is a monster, though: the smaller your vehicle, the better, and Jeeps won't fit in the garage. Everything in the condo was brand new, but the fold-out living room bed was a big downgrade from the advertised 8-inch memory foam. We made it work.

For 10 beautiful days we relaxed at home and on the beach, with some outings to see the island's many attractions. Once settled in, the place had a peaceful feeling that was hard to put into words. When we opened the window covers, the patio, pool, and ocean came into view. We were so pleased when we arrived to find the home looked exactly as we'd hoped. The photos don't do it justice. If you're deciding, this home at Hoyochi Nikko is the real deal. We'll be back.
