The rooms have what you need to make your own meals, which worked well for a longer stay. The ocean views are lovely, and we could watch sea turtles for much of the day. A few even came onto the sand to rest. Just keep in mind this isn't a typical beach for swimming or sunbathing. It costs a bit more, but the quiet setting and close-up turtle sightings made it worthwhile for me. I'd recommend Kuleana Resort.

We liked the peaceful pool, which was warm and pretty large, and the grounds are immaculate. The oceanfront tiki lamps are a nice touch, and the location is great. There's a tiny private beach when the water is calm. Our unit was nice, though its only AC was in the bedroom, so the rest of the space got uncomfortable when it was very hot outside. It could use a deep clean, but I'd still come back. The staff and onsite maintenance were great.

Quiet spot close to the water, with grocery shopping, coffee, food trucks, and a bakery nearby. The kitchen was well stocked, and we had beach chairs and a cooler.

Our west-facing ground-floor unit had an incredible sunset, and we saw lots of sea turtles at the beach on the property. You can swim and snorkel there, and several of the area's best snorkeling beaches are nearby. The location was amazing. I held back from five stars because the unit felt very outdated. I guess that's common with waterfront buildings from the 60s and 70s. I'd have gone with 4.5 stars if I could.

Small, friendly, and really well maintained, with a great pool. Some years there's a beach, and on my visit this year I got to watch turtles and whales. This place feels like a gem on Maui, almost too good to share.
