The spa was one of my favorite parts of the stay. I had the Peace Within treatment and a regular deep tissue massage, and both were great. They paid close attention to every detail and checked that the products were safe for my allergies. The hydro room, sauna, and women’s pool were lovely too, and the spa pools were very clean. My one frustration was arriving 45 minutes early for a massage so I could enjoy the women’s spa first, then spending so long checking in that I had no time there. It would help if spa check-in were easier for returning guests who’ve already had the orientation, perhaps with a pass showing access. Our meals at Cane and Canoe were a pleasant surprise. We usually avoid resort restaurants because they can disappoint next to local food, but this was one of our best dinners on the island, and we enjoyed breakfast as well. The room was spacious, with a perfect balcony view where we watched a few sunsets. Valet parking was convenient, and the staff at the concierge were very helpful. They also paid attention to little touches: leis and a warm welcome, banana bread and flowers in the room, slippers, and keeping track of the various promotions. I loved the place. My other suggestion would be to update the bathrooms a little. Ours was nice, but could really have used a jetted tub.

My son keeps asking when we’re going back to the pool. It was his first stay at Montage Kapalua Bay, and my second. Scott was especially helpful, attentive, and genuinely kind, and made the visit feel unforgettable. From arrival through departure, everything felt seamless and magical. The aloha spirit really comes through here. We’ve had a consistently wonderful time. Mahalo!

It’s a very calm place, and never felt overrun with people. The residences are stunning, and the secluded property has the feel of a residential golfing community. Beautiful hotel and grounds.

Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was the highlight for us, with incredible food and service. We also loved the meals at Cane and Canoe. The resort has spectacular ocean views and luxurious residences, and Scott at the front desk was very helpful. We’re definitely coming back.

The suites feel more like high-end homes than hotel rooms, with generous space, a full gourmet kitchen, a big lanai, and top-quality finishes. Housekeeping kept everything spotless and neatly arranged. It seems well suited to longer visits and families. The staff made the stay feel personal. From valet and the front desk to the pool attendants, people seemed to care about our comfort and remembered names, drink orders, and favorite pool spots. Service was relaxed and thoughtful. The pool area is a standout, with several levels of infinity pools, private cabanas, and great ocean views. Cane & Canoe serves island-inspired food, and we enjoyed the cocktails at the bar too. The setting is beautiful, with wide ocean views toward Molokai and Lanai, and striking sunsets. The gardens, koi ponds, and winding paths to quiet overlooks are immaculately kept. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality felt warm and genuine, with a calm aloha spirit. For a peaceful, luxurious Hawaiian stay, The Montage at Kapalua Bay feels in a league of its own. It could suit a honeymoon, family trip, or quiet getaway. We left feeling spoiled and at home.
