Three-bedroom Villas at Ko Olina Beach Villas Resort

The second lagoon was so calm, and the dedicated quiet areas at the Beach Villas made our stay less crowded than Aulani. There were still plenty of people enjoying the amenities with their kids, just with more breathing room. We could walk everywhere easily, and got to Aulani for a couple of meals and to see the characters. You just can't swim on the property. Our Airbnb came with chairs, sports gear, sandcastle toys, boogie boards, pool noodles, and more. We had a kitchen, so after landing we went to Costco and bought supplies for a week's worth of meals. The property has two pools and three large spas, and the lagoon is only a two-minute walk through the pool area. We had a great time.

This was pretty disappointing for a four-star hotel and definitely not worth what we paid. The room layout was odd, and the kitchen supplies were very old and scratched. The main pool wasn't heated and felt too cold to swim in. They charged extra for room service, even on a long stay. Partway through our trip, we asked for another bar of soap and were refused. After checkout, we had an hour before our shuttle, but couldn't wait on the pool deck or use any facilities. We were told to stay in the lobby.

The beaches are artificial, but they haven't lost their beauty. They have a special touch, with lots of plants in different colors and varieties, coconut palms, and lovely big trees. Behind them, there's a beautiful view of the mountain and the Disney hotel.

Parking could work better for larger vehicles. Otherwise, the room, service, and location were perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better place for a family vacation.
